HOW TO APPLY YOUR KANDY KLAWS PRESS ON NAILS

Applying press-on nails with sticky tabs and glue can give you a long-lasting and sturdy manicure. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you achieve a flawless application:

Step 1: Gather Your Supplies

Make sure you have all the necessary supplies before you begin. You will need:

  1. Press-on nails in your desired size and style.
  2. Sticky tabs (optional, but recommended for easy removal).
  3. Nail glue.
  4. Nail file.
  5. Nail buffer.
  6. Cuticle pusher (optional) .
  7. Alcohol pad and/or nail polish remover (for cleaning your nails).
  8. Cotton pads or swabs.

Step 2: Prep Your Natural Nails

Start by removing any existing nail polish using nail polish remover. Trim and shape your natural nails to your desired length and shape using a nail clipper and file. Gently push back your cuticles using a cuticle pusher. Then, buff the surface of your nails lightly to remove any oils and create a slightly rough texture for better adhesion.

Step 3: Clean Your Nails

Using a cotton pad or swab soaked in rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover, thoroughly clean the surface of your nails to remove any remaining oils, dirt, or debris. This step is crucial for ensuring a strong bond between your natural nails and the press-on nails.

Step 4: Select Press-on Nails

Choose the press-on nails that best fit your natural nail size and shape. Lay them out in the order you plan to apply them so you can easily grab them when needed.

Step 5: Apply Sticky Tabs (Optional)

If you're using sticky tabs for easy removal, peel off the backing from one sticky tab and apply it to the back of the press-on nail, aligning it with the cuticle area. Press down firmly to ensure it adheres well. Using sticky tabs will ensure your press on nails are reusable.

Pro tip: Apply heat to the applied sticky tabs (using a hairdryer for example) before peeling them off. This method makes the sticky tabs even more stickier!

Step 6: Apply Nail Glue

Alternatively, if you prefer a longer-lasting hold, apply a small amount of nail glue to the back of the press-on nail, focusing on the area near the cuticle. Be careful not to use too much glue, as it can lead to a messy application and excess glue seeping out.

Pro tip: combine step 5 and 6 for long lasting wear up to 2 weeks!

Step 7: Align and Press On

Align the press-on nail with your natural nail, starting from the cuticle and pressing down towards the tip at a 45 degree angle. Hold it in place for at least 15 seconds to allow the glue or sticky tab to bond securely. Ensure the press-on nail is centered and properly aligned with your natural nail.

Step 8: Repeat for Each Nail

Continue applying press-on nails to the rest of your nails, following the same process. Take your time to ensure each nail is applied evenly and securely.

Step 9: Final Touches

Once all the press-on nails are applied, gently press down on each nail to ensure a tight bond. Use a nail file to shape and smooth the edges of the press-on nails for a polished finish.

Step 10: Enjoy Your Manicure

Now that your press-on nails are securely applied, you're ready to flaunt your gorgeous manicure! Take care to avoid activities that may cause excessive stress on your nails, such as typing, climbing, or heavy lifting, to prolong the wear of your press-on nails.
