Step 1: Soak Your Nails
Fill the bowl or basin with warm water. Add a small amount of mild soap or gentle cleanser to create a soapy solution. Submerge your fingertips in the water and allow your nails to soak for 10-15 minutes. The warm water will help soften the adhesive used to attach the press-on nails.
Step 2: Gently Loosen the Edges
After soaking, use a towel to pat your hands dry. Then, gently loosen the edges of the press-on nails by carefully inserting the edge of a cuticle pusher or orangewood stick between the press-on nail and your natural nail. Apply gentle pressure to lift the press-on nail away from your natural nail. Be patient and avoid using excessive force to prevent damage to your nails.
Step 3: Continue Lifting
Continue to work around the edges of the press-on nail, lifting it away from your natural nail gradually. Take your time and be gentle to avoid causing any discomfort or damage.
Step 4: Remove Press-On Nails
Once you have loosened all the edges of the press-on nail, gently wiggle and twist it to detach it completely from your natural nail. If the press-on nail does not come off easily, soak your nails for a few more minutes and repeat the process until all the press-on nails are removed.
Step 5: Cleanse and Moisturize
After removing the press-on nails, wash your hands with soap and water to remove any remaining adhesive or residue. Pat your hands dry with a towel and apply a moisturizer or cuticle oil to hydrate and nourish your nails and surrounding skin.
Note:
- If you experience any discomfort or resistance during the removal process, stop immediately and seek professional assistance to prevent nail damage.
